Samriddhi 2009: Social Entrepreneurship conference by Goa Institute of Management

Goa Institute of Management has is set to conduct an annual conference on Social Entrepreneurship – Samriddhi 2009 – on 29th and 30th of August, 2009. This year’s edition is the third such conference with the earlier editions concentrating on “basic issues of financing infrastructure projects, micro-finance, etc. focusing on financing India’s development” (Samriddhi – 2007) and “Green infrastructure, its feasibility and the business sense it makes.” (Samriddhi – 2008).
The focus of this year’s conference will be, in their own words,
Profit making, impact creating ventures that address the larger social needs.
Exploring the need & viability of socially relevant entrepreneurial ventures in the Indian context, given its demographic, social and financial profile.
Creating awareness about the opportunities in the field of Social Entrepreneurship for students, working executives and corporates (as part of their CSR)
