An online appointment booking platform for doctors, diagnostic centres and salons, Ziffi has raised Rs.15 crore from Orios Venture Partners in its Series A round. The raised capital will be allocated to expand Ziffi.com’s network of service providers, strengthen technology interface, enhance design and initiate marketing and branding efforts. The platform empowers people to explore and find healthcare, salon and diagnostic centres across four cities, including Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai. It has a network of over 1,000 salons, 15,000 doctors and 5,000 diagnostic centres in the above cities.

Earlier known as Docsuggest.com, Ziffi.com was rebranded with an aim to widen focus on enabling bookings across health and wellness verticals.

Founded by IIT, Bombay, and IIT, Kharagpur, alumni Shantanu Jha, Keerthi Kiran Chennupati, Anshuman Pandey and Pushkar Soni, Ziffi claims to be the country’s largest and most comprehensive wellness booking system. As of now the company has booked over 250,000 appointments across four cities.

According to Shantanu, “Ziffi.com is the fastest way of finding and booking appointments with the best of salons, spas, doctors and diagnostic centers. The funding will be deployed to expand the establishment across operating cities so as to provide customers a convenient and simplified platform to book at their favourite salon or with their favourite doctor. We are delighted to partner with Orios Venture Partners to scale Ziffi to address the varied health and personal care needs of people at large.”

This is the second investment in a row by Orios Venture Partners this month. Earlier it had led $2 million Series A round in online lingerie store PrettySecrets.

To some extent the company competes with Mumbai-based purplle.com, which allows users to discover and book spas and salons. Purplle also raised an undisclosed amount of funding from unnamed investors.

Speaking about the investment, Rehan Yar Khan, Managing Partner of Orios Venture Partners, said, "The online health, wellness and personal care category is a very large and exciting category given its high volume, usage and frequency. With Ziffi, appointments are just a click away. We estimate that there are currently three million people at the technology adoption cycle in India ready to use such a service and by 2020 this number will swell close to a million people. We are impressed by the company’s vision and the incredible work they have done so far and we are delighted to back them in their next phase of growth.”
