Here are five sure-shot warning signs that your boss has little or no respect for you.

Keeping you uninformed

Be it trivial tasks or big projects, if your boss deliberately keeps you out of the loop, it's time you wake up and smell the coffee. Have you ever felt be uninformed about important points of a project or not being invited to significant briefings. Are you always informed about critical details from co-workers? It's maybe because your boss is intentionally keeping things from you.

Your boss constantly undermines your authority

No matter what position you hold in the company, if your boss always undermines your authority or your ability, their disrespect for you is as clear as day. A simple way he\she can be encroaching your jurisdiction is by issuing completely different orders than the ones you've issued. Asking your team to disobey your orders and ignore anything you ask them to do.

Being overly critical

No matter how good your work is or how much effort you put in, your boss only points out your faults without acknowledging your effort. On the other hand, a person who respects you will always encourage you and state the positives, along with stating your flaws with a hint of positive reinforcement.

Your boss doesn't give you the time of his day

Given that everyone today relies on technology to communicate. However, if your boss doesn't take time out at all to speak to you in person, you should know that you are not held in high regard. However, before jumping to conclusions, ensure whether your boss does this only with you or whether everyone else also gets the same treatment.

Being insensitive towards you

A contemptuous person will not think twice before flaying his authority to make jokes at your expense or taunting you. When this happens, don't be afraid to stand for yourself and demand to be treated with respect just like everyone else is.

Oprah Winfrey once said, "You teach people how to treat you." You should therefore ask yourself why you're being singled out in this manner. Make sure none of your actions or words have led to these consequences.
