Change can be frightening and difficult, but these motivational quotes from world leaders show that it doesn’t have to be. There is a better way.

Change – this six-letter word sums up life. Human progress is a continuous process of evolution, with the changes often taking place over years and generations. However, the last few decades have seen changes at an unprecedented pace and scale, thanks to technology. From technology changing how we work and think to how we interact, communicate, and express ourselves, today, we are constantly on the move. Whether you are an entrepreneur, a political leader, author, lawmaker, student, or parent, change is that one thing we all have to contend with, adapting continuously to new factors and elements in our environment.

In our personal lives to our workspaces, we may resist change and even hate it. But whether we like it or not, we eventually have to accept it. It may or may not be good for us, but change – as the popular saying goes – is the only constant.

If you, like many others, struggle to cope and adapt to the changes taking root around you, here are some motivational quotes that will help you take control and adapt better:

“Every human has four endowments – self-awareness, conscience, independent will, and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom...The power to choose, to respond, to change.” – Stephen Covey, American Educator, Author, Businessman

“For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?' And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.” – Steve Jobs, American Entrepreneur, Business Magnate, Inventor
