Saina Nehwal loses to World No 1 Tai Tzu Ying in Denmark Open

India's ace badminton champion, Saina Nehwal lost to World No. 1 Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei in the final of the Denmark Open on Sunday.

Saina lost 13-21, 21-13, 6-21 to Tai Tzu Ying in a match that lasted for 52 minutes. Inspite of a thundering comeback in the second half, the 28-year-old lost the game, for the eleventh consecutive time in a row to Tai Tzu Ying.

Saina had defeated Gregoria Mariska Tunjung of Indonesia in the semi-final on Saturday by 21-11, 21-12 to enter the final of the women's singles event.

Tai Tzu, has an overwhelming 12-5 career head-to-head record against Saina.
