Ducati to paint India RED with nine new motorcycle launches in 2023

Thursday January 05, 2023 , 3 min Read

Ducati has already started infusing fresh life into its India lineup by launching an array of new models in 2022. The latest in its armoury is the DesertX launched a few weeks ago and slated to arrive at showrooms by the second week of January. However, Ducati isn’t slowing down and is planning to continue the onslaught of new launches.

The Italian superbike brand, through its social media handle, recently confirmed that it will be bringing as many as nine new models to the Indian market in 2023. Along with their names, Ducati has also announced prices for all the upcoming models although these are anticipatory prices and may change at the time of their official launch.

New Ducati models in pipeline

The company will kick start its 2023 launch campaign with Monster SP which is tentatively priced at Rs 15.95 lakh (ex-showroom) and expected to be launched towards the end of January. The naked streetfighter is a more track-focussed version of the standard Monster available on sale in India.

This will be followed by Panigale V4 R, another track-oriented machine, based on the standard Panigale V4. Priced at Rs 69.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Panigale V4 R will be powered by a 999cc engine instead of a 1,103cc powering the regular Panigale V4.

Continuing the theme of track-focussed race machines, the launch of Panigale V4 R will be followed by its street naked sibling—Streetfighter V4 SP2, commanding a price tag of Rs 35.33 lakh (ex-showroom). It will most probably hit the Indian market by the third quarter of 2023.

Following the launch of Panigale V4 R, Ducati will bring the all-new Diavel V4, priced at Rs 25.91 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest generation of the power cruiser made its global debut a few months ago and comes muscled with the famed V4 engine for the first time.

Ducati will also launch a more hardcore ‘Rally’ variant of Multistrada V4 which is more capable of trail bashing. To be offered at a tentative price of Rs 29.72 lakh (ex-showroom), the adventure motorcycle will be fitted with a larger 30-litre fuel tank and wire-spoke wheels instead of the 22.5-litre unit and cast-alloy rims offered in the standard model.

Following this, the Italian bikemaker will be updating its scrambler lineup as well consisting of three models–Icon, Full Throttle, Nightshift. In fact, the Scrambler Icon will be Ducati’s most affordable motorcycle at Rs 10.39 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, Full Throttle and Nightshift variants are expected to be priced around Rs 12 lakh.

The year will wrap up for Ducati with the launch of the ultra-exclusive, limited-edition Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini completely draped in a signature Lamborghini paint scheme and featuring many bespoke parts, much in line with the recently launched Lamborghini Huracan STO.
